The strategy decides when the bot buys and sells. Weekly Buy ignores the sell and safety rules. The change applies from the next candle.

    How paperonbot works

paperonbot trades with fake money. By default it follows one simple idea: when the price drops a lot, it usually comes back up toward its recent average.

What you see on the chart

    • Price line. The price at the end of each candle. One candle is one time slice. Its size is the setting Candle size.
    • Average line. The average price of the last Average length candles.
    • Gray zone. The normal range around the average. The setting Zone width sets how wide it is.
    • Green line, the buy line. The bottom edge of the gray zone.
    • Red line, the sell line. The setting Sell at picks it: Average line or Top of the zone.

    When it buys

When the price falls to the green line, the bot buys with Buy size of your money. If the price keeps falling, it buys again, up to Most buys in a row times. A BUY mark on the chart shows each buy.

    When it sells

When the price climbs back to the red line, the bot sells everything. A SELL mark shows each sale. It also sells in these cases:

    • The price falls Stop loss below your average buy price. Then it waits Wait after a stop loss before it buys again.
    • A trade stays open longer than Longest trade.
    • You lose more than Daily loss limit in a day, or Weekly loss limit in a week. The bot then stops until you press Resume.

    When it skips a buy

    • Avoid falling markets is on and the price has been falling for a long time.
    • Minimum gain says the possible gain is too small next to the costs Trading fee and Price gap. This one blocks many buys.
    • There is not enough money left, or Most buys in a row is reached.

    Weekly Buy

    • It buys Weekly buy of money once a week, on Monday UTC.
    • It never sells. Stop loss, Longest trade, the loss limits and Most buys in a row do not apply.
    • The chart shows only the price line and the BUY marks.
    • The buys stop when the money runs out.

    Random

It buys and sells at random. Stop loss and the loss limits still apply.

    Good to know

    • All money is fake. Live mode does nothing.
    • Prices come from Binance. Coin and Currency make the Binance pair: btc and usdt make BTCUSDT.
    • The Bot activity list says why the bot did or did not buy on each candle.
    • Quick past simulation replays these rules on old prices, so you can test settings. It can use another strategy for one run.
    • Aggregated simulation, in the menu, runs several strategies and candle sizes on the same interval and shows one table.
    • A login lasts 7 days. Log out is at the bottom of the menu. Five wrong passwords lock your address for 15 minutes.
